Giantleap Meeting M18 held in Trondheim

Giantleap’s fourth project meeting was held on October 12 and 13 in Trondheim, Norway, at SINTEF’s premises. The focus of the meeting was on the realisation of the FC system and its subsequent integration into VDL’s prototype.

The research aspects (degradation, diagnostics, prognostics and control) are on schedule, as is the delivery of full-size stacks. The prototype range extender is scheduled for the next semester.

The project has handled a deviation in the plan due to lack of available ageing data for balance-of-plant components: the data will be generated within the project by Bosch, and the deviation is scheduled to be recovered by the next project meeting.

Giantleap will organise a workshop this December in connection with VPPC2017 in Belfort, France: please see the announcement and register.

The meeting saw the involvement of Trondheim’s NTNU university, whose hydrogen-related activities are increasing, and who expressed the desire to maintain a continued relationship with Giantleap.
